100 Days Spending Free!

So I made it, 100 days!  On Monday 20th that was me 100 days spending free,100 days of not purchasing any beauty items.  So in celebration of this I purchased some little goodies, now I didn't go mad just purchased a few little items that I've had my eye on for the past few months.

The ban hasn't been that difficult to be honest, being busy played a big part in this though.  The thing I missed the most was taking a little walk about Boots which I probably do every few weeks.  Even if I left empty handed I still liked looking at the makeup and things so on my ban to avoid temptation I really limited myself and didn't enter the bad at this moment in time but oh so goooood place.

So here is what I picked up:

Garnier Moisture Match - Matte

I currently don’t own a moisturiser and know I need to start using one so was this was nicely priced I picked one up.

Backcomb in a bottle

I have heard mixed reviews on this so for £1.99 I thought I would give it a try and the small size means it fits in my handbag, great for a quick boost, if it works that is.

Maybelline Dream touch lumi

I don't own a liquid under eye highlighter and heard this a YSL dupe so I'm excited to try

Maybelline Gel eyeliner in brown

I own this in black and it’s fab so recently I have been using a brown shadow to line my eyes for work as it’s less harsh but it doesn't stay put very long so I hope this does the job better

Garnier eye makeup remover

Ran out of my old one so picked up this as I've heard it does an excellent job

Barry M Flawless Matte Finish

Matte foundations in the drugstore are few and far between so when one comes up I feel like I have to test it, for review purposes obviously.....hehe

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday

I normally walk past the celebrity fragrances, only because any ones previously I've not liked so when I spotted this in the boots 70% sale and they had a sample next to the box I wondered over and had a sniff. OH MY this is gorgeous! Right up my street and I got it for £6.90!! Bargain alert!! This set comes with a lotion, the perfume and a roller ball which is perfect for my handbag and the bottle is gorgeous as well.

Now I made another trip to Boots this week to pick up the new Revlon Matte balms and while browsing online I noticed Boots had an offer of 500 points on selected premium beauty so I had a browse and spotted 2 things that I've had my eye on for a while so thought why not buy now and gain the £5 points.  I picked smashbox travel size photo finish primer and Clinique bottom lash mascara.  Excited with my new goodies I had a look at my receipt and noticed the extra points were not added so I popped back online only to see the extra points deal was only with purchases online DOH!! Oh well, I still have fab goodies to try eekkkk.

So I have lots of new goodies to try, I'm excited!!

  1. Wow, congratulations! I don't think I could ever make it 100 days, I've tried no spending months and even they've failed miserably!

I really need to pick up some of the new Revlon balms.

  4. Wow, I'm not sure I could avoid buying cosmetics for 100 days. Did you stock up on essentials beforehand? I especially couldn't put myself in the way of temptation, so well done.
