|Beauty Works Double Volume £39.99|
If you know me, you know I love hair extensions and any new product that provides me with big hair is a thumbs up in my book! I have followed Glitz and Glam on twitter for a while and the great thing about Twitter is it provides us customers with a direct voice in turn lets new potential customers see the positive feedback and also get more knowledge of a product, all good things. So after following Glitz and Glam for a while it became sudden to me the huge amount of positive feedback and comments from customer's on their page, all I was seeing was lovely pictures and reviews of the hair and company. So a few weeks ago I started researching more into the synthetic pieces to try and decide which one I wanted to purchase. Glitz and Glam have a huge amount of different types of hair from wigs, clip in hair extensions, buns, ponytails, top knots and human hair to name but a few! I decided I wanted a curled piece but to be honest the synthetic part had me worrying as mentioned in my cliphair post I had a bad experience with a synthetic weft in the past so when possibly purchasing one again for a lot less money I was cautious.
To two biggest sellers on the Glitz and Glam site is the Big Tousled Hairpiece at £34.99 and the Double Volume Synthetic Hair Piece £39.99. From pictures online and videos the big tousled looks more straight with slight curls in the ends and the double volume looked more fuller with more curls and body, so I opted for the double. I don't think the images on the website are that great and to find nice big clear pictures of the hair especially lighter colours I found difficult, as I said above Twitter was great to see better real views of the hair so for anyone looking that's the best place to check out the pieces. I contacted Glitz and Glam on twitter and asked them to colour match me, they advised me 613/27. Going for the double I was worried as I have a small face and head and I don't suit to much hair so ordering a double 190g weft was a bit of a risk. I ordered my double volume piece on Monday 8th April at 11.30pm (don't you love online shopping when you can't sleep!) picked free delivery option and to my surprise it arrived on the 10th in a gorgeous bright pink bag! I spotted the postman with it a mile away ha! Getting it delivered to work is not the best idea as I wanted to put it on sooooo bad but decided to wait until I was home to give it a little try! So I usually come home for my lunch and was chomping at the bit to get home and try it! So at 12 o'clock I popped home and ripped it open like a 5 year old on Christmas day. I took it out the package and wow is it soft, super soft, not synthetic feeling at all, I was honestly amazed. I shaked it out a little and then popped it in.......uuhhhhh ohhhhh i'm in love!! WOWWW amazing, I
thought was rapunzel with gorgeous long flowing locks, I didn't want to go back to work, I wanted to stay home all day and play with my new hair ha!
I will be doing a post on how to apply and tips etc and possibly a video (once my roots are done) but it is really simple and it takes 2 minutes! Once applied I was over the moon with the colour match, as you can see, it's the exact same colour as my hair. I also felt the length was a little long for me so i trimmed a little. I didn't curl my own hair at the top just left straight but they blend so nice you don't even notice. I have applied these 3 times and the initial softness has gone slightly but still looking at them they are amazing, I still can't believe it's synthetic you cannot tell! I will be purchasing more from beauty works and glitz and glam (straight and ponytail are next on my list)
Have you purchased anything from Beauty Works or Glitz and Glam, what did you think?
