Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Pomegranate

This is my 3rd review of a Barry M Gelly Polish, you can view the other two here and here.  I really am growing to like these polishes although recently sold some in a blog sale as sometimes I get a bit carried away and pick up way to many shades so now i am "trying" to make better decisions when it comes to nail polish and only purchase colours that I don't already own and also not to just wonder into Boots and pick up 4 random colours, I have decided to be more grown up and actually think "do I need these??" Most of the time I will probably tell myself yes but I still like to think I have some control over my poor nail polish addict brain!
My local Boots is a premium store yet the Barry M stand is so small, every time I go in they only have a limited about of Gelly polishes with shades changing every week. So every time I am there I look to see what new shades I can get my hands on, Prickly Pear is next on my list!

Last week when browsing I spotted a new shade that I hadn't seen on to many blogs and liked the look of it.  Pomegranate is a gorgeous deep red that from the bottle I thought would be more raspberry but actually applied it's more deep red, almost berry red.  I have just started using OPI nail envy and I applied this on top of this polish every day and it made the polish last 6 days!  Polish has never lasted that long on me, but as I said, I think this was to do more with the treatment.

Being a darker colour you need to take your time to apply.  I am usualy very good and not making any mistakes but I had to take extra care and I did have a few little slip ups but for £3.99 these are really great.
Again as before, the finish is great and you really do get that gel like finish.

  1. I have this and I'm obsessed. It's a nice alternative to plain red!
I'm with you on purchasing colours you really need. I have so many of the same colours! I also bought a neon lime green polish the other day because I didn't have it but I'll never wear it. Nail issues! X
