|Feel Unique £23|
As mentioned before in my previous post on YSL Glossy Stain (you can view it here) I was lucky last year that my mum picked me up a few YSL goodies for Christmas and one of them being shocking mascara.
For most including myself mascara is a must have in our daily beauty regime, you can have a full gorgeous face of makeup on but without a great mascara it all falls flat. I always have so many different mascaras in my bag that I switch between them weekly/daily depending on how I feel and currently most of them are drugstore/budget. This is my first high end mascara and for £23 I know this may seem a lot but given you wear it so much then I say it's worth every penny. For more expensive purchases I like to work out cost per wear and that way know if it would be good value for me. Mascara shelf life is 6 months so this works out at a tiny £2.50 per month, not bad for high end!
Having my eye on this for a while when I received it, it did not disappoint! First, the packaging, I am a sucker for great packaging and this just screams luxury. There is nothing better than looking into your makeup bag and seeing this gold beauty shinning back. Most times packaging on mascara is a bit plain but this is over the top gorgeous!
The plastic wand has short bristles, varying in lengths which cling to every lash. When applying I feel it best to take your time, no need to rush as it can clump really easy if you apply to quick. This provides me with thick long black lashes, like no other mascara I have ever tried.
Although this is an amazing product, I do have a one negative point. The tube doesn't seem to have a guard so when taking the wand out it's overloaded with product and I do need to scape of the excess otherwise I end up with a clumpy mess! Not good YSL!
This is my wearing normal budget mascara and wearing YSL, as you can see the difference is huge!
What's your favourite high end mascara?
